Phyllis Wilson, 77, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024 at her home, which is the same home she was born in. She was born on August 13, 1946 to Vern and Nola Hamson in Belle Rive. She married William Franklin Wilson on December 22, 1963. They were blessed with sixty years of marriage before he preceded her in death on April 8, 2024.

Phyllis is survived by two sons, Todd Wilson of Irvington, Illinois and Doug Wilson and wife, Denise of Mount Vernon, Illinois; seven grandkids; four great-grandchildren plus one on the way; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and sister, Vivian Scott.

In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her siblings, Dennis Hamson, Paul Ward Hamson, Elmer Hamson, and Kathryn Pierce.

Phyllis loved watching children at church and at home. She also enjoyed sewing. Phyllis was a pitcher for a softball league. She will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church in Belle Rive, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow Belle Rive Cemetery in Belle Rive, Illinois.
